Summer report discussing family volunteers, partners in action, volunteer spotlight, tomorrow’s table, and city wide food drive.
We say “only TOGETHER” can we fight hunger and root causes. This happens every single day here at the Calgary Food Bank and in countless ways. This month’s Bite of Information, we want to share some of the great collaborations happening with our community partners.
To mark National Volunteer Week, April 24- 30, we want to celebrate the people who help feed hungry Calgarians all year long. Last year alone, volunteers logged close to 96,500 hours (about 11 years) of time at the Calgary Food Bank.
Spring report discussing client stories, partners in action, volunteer spotlight, volunteer opportunities, and help beyond food.
We have introduced a new team of Resource Volunteers to improve awareness of community organizations for the people that we serve! These volunteers will use a questionnaire that is also available on our website to understand someone’s situation and find the best community organizations to support them. The new questionnaire will allow us to be more intentional about the referrals we provide.
