Charity Challenge
Calgary Corporate Challenge provides fun, engaging team-building events throughout the year, highlighted by the annual Calgary Corporate Challenge September Games. The Charity Challenge component gives teams a series of opportunities to give and engage in meaningful ways so they can do good and be good (and also earn points in the standings). We are excited to be celebrating 20 years of being a Calgary Corporate Challenge Charity partner. Since 2005, more than $515,000 in food and funds has been raised by Calgary Corporate Challenge participants to help feed Calgary.

Hunger is not experienced only by those experiencing homelessness in our city; it could be the family next door, the child who goes to school with your son or daughter, the person next to you on the bus going to work, classmates from college or university, or the person who serves you at your local business. These are our friends, family members and neighbors who face a life set back and need our help and compassion.
The Calgary Food Bank is community owned; community supported. It takes community action to provide healthy and nutritious food, to help one family, one person at a time. In partnership with the food industry and companies like you, for every $1 received we can distribute $3.50 worth of food.
Give what you can, to help us help your neighbors, your friends, your family members.

Give Awareness
OPTION #1: Attend a Presentation and Tour of our Warehouse
The Calgary Food Bank has grown in response to the increasing need for food support in Calgary. Come spend an hour to an hour and a half learning about the programs we offer while witnessing the hustle and bustle of our active warehouse and distribution zone. Learn the steps taken from the moment a neighbour, friend or family member reaches out to us for a hamper, to the moment we can pass that hamper over to them and, everything in-between.

Give Back
Volunteers make up 40% of the warehouse workforce at the Calgary Food Bank. 800 volunteer shifts must be filled each week. Help feed fellow Calgarians by giving the gift of time. Our organization would simply not exist without the time and talent of our dedicated volunteers, so we are offering you the opportunity to be a part of this dedicated team!

Themed Food Drive
The Calgary Food Bank loves to pull the community together in our mission to fight hunger and its root causes because no one should go hungry. Host a themed food drive at your office this Calgary Corporate Challenge season and earn an extra point at the same time!

Themed Food Drive ideas can include:
- Battle of the Breakfast Cereals: Collected as many boxes of your favourite cereals as you can!
- Mac and Cheese, if you please: Collect as much mac and cheese as you can! Create a giant KD Domino, make sure you film the dominos falling!
- You’re all Soup-er Stars: Collect cans and cans of shelf-stable soups!
- Fill the boss’s office or another designated area with food, be sure to send us a picture!
- Baby Items Drive – Collect using our Baby Hamper Wishlist consisting of Diapers, Wipes and Formula
- Birthday Kit Drive – Collect using our birthday kit Wishlist consisting of cake mix, icing, toys, etc
- Get Creative! Select an item on our emergency food hamper Wishlist and collect as many of that item as you can!
