What is the City-Wide Food Drive?

City-Wide is the Calgary Food Bank’s biggest food drive of the year! For 21 years we have been partnering with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to blanket the city with bags and flyers to support Calgarians in need. September can be a financially stressful time for many families as they send their kids back to school, your support helps us lighten their load.

Our Need For Food

32% of Calgarians are struggling to afford food and the solution isn’t as simple as working more hours. A recent study (Work That Isn’t Working) by the Calgary Food Bank found that more than 1 in 4 of its clients are working full-time, but still needing to take drastic measures like skipping meals in order to make ends meet.
