Hawthorn Our Daily Bread (ODB) Beer
The Fairmont Palliser has been an iconic part of downtown Calgary for more than a century. The historic hotel has opened a new restaurant and lobby bar called Hawthorn Dinning Room and Bar. Executive Chef, Bern Glatz is working closely with local producers as much as possible for his menu. This philosophy also extends to the restaurant’s beverage program.
Glatz has partnered with Last Best Brewing & Distilling to create a unique draft beer especially for the Hawthorn. This special brew is created with the restaurant’s unused bread. The sustainable draft beer, fittingly called Our Daily Bread (ODB), combats food waste and helps to feed YYC, with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Calgary Food Bank.
