Guinness World Record attempt, take 2.

In 2008, we held the record for most food collected in a 24-hour period.

Let's work together, Calgary, and reclaim our Guinness World Record! 560,000 pounds of food is our goal! The City-Wide Food Drive is the largest single-day food drive in Calgary, and over the past 9 years, has collected well over 3 million pounds of food for the Calgary Food Bank. More than 7,000 family volunteers participate and help collect food throughout the morning and night.

If you see the City-Wide Food Drive bag at your door, we encourage you to fill the bag with NON-perishable food items, and leave it on the doorstep for an 8am pick-up! We do absolutely zero door knocking / solicitations, so make sure your bag is visible to the volunteers!

The City-Wide food drive is an important drive for the city as September and Fall heads into a high-demand period due to back-to-school expenses.
