2007 Calgary City-wide Food Drive
The final results are in! Generous Calgarians donated a whopping 362,737 pounds of food worth $725,475 in the 2007 City-wide Food Drive.
The City-wide Food Drive, which benefits the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank each year, is an amazing success thanks to the efforts and donations of thousands of Calgarians. 7,000 volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints dropped off food bags and information flyers at more than 360,000 Calgary homes. Thousands of Calgary families then left food donations on their doorstep for Church volunteers to pick up on Saturday, September 15.
Last year, more than 94,000 Calgarians benefited from emergency food hampers from the Food Bank. Many Calgarians, perhaps your friends or neighbours, have been helped by the overwhelming generosity of people like you. This is a project of families helping families!
