Empty Bowl Benefit

17th Annual Empty Bowl Benefit
Local personalities join the Calgary Food Bank in our 17th Annual Empty Bowl Benefit, supporting our Food Link Program. Everyone from your favourite news anchor to local artists get creative by painting a one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl. These unique bowls, filled with goodies, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

The Food Link Program provides quality food and supplies to 228 Calgary agencies and community programs so that they can focus on their program delivery rather than look for food donations. Last year, the Empty Bowl Benefit raised over $5,200.

The auction will take place May 23-31, 2017. Check back on May 23 to see the completed bowls and bid on your favourite.

Get your paint on

Bring your creativity and paint your one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl with other local personalities on May 3. The Empty Bowl Benefit invites Calgary media, local celebrities, artists, musicians and sport personalities to get innovative and create a unique piece of art that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder to support our Food Link Program.

No creative skills? No worries! Our generous partner, Color Me Mine, will be on hand again this year to help get your creative juices flowing.

If you would like to participate in this year’s Empty Bowl Benefit, but are not available on Paint Day, let us know. We can make alternate arrangements for you, Color Me Mine would love to see you in their studio, or send supplies to your location.
