Together, we are putting our best boot forward and working to create a hunger-free community.
In its tenth year, the Put the Boots to Hunger™ campaign raises important food and funds for the Calgary Food Bank through the Stampede season, at a time when it is typically slower for donations. This campaign is comprised of two initiatives to help feed Calgarians in need, community events and the donation of the of Burnet Duckworth & Palmer LLP’s (BD&P) chuckwagon tarp of GMC Rangeland Derby driver Logan Gorst.
Events are coming together for the Put the Boots to Hunger campaign and we hope you include us in your own plans this July. There are many ways to support the Calgary Food Bank this Stampede season:
- Host your own event in conjunction with the Calgary Food Bank.
- Attend an event and bring a food or cash donation.
- Volunteer to collect food or cash donations at events.
- Make an online donation.
In 2016, the campaign raised over $341,000 in food and funds between tarp sponsorship and Food Bank involvement at many Stampede breakfasts and barbeques. Since its inception in 2008, the campaign has raised nearly $3.9 million in food and funds for Calgary Food Bank initiatives.
