If you are struggling to put food on the table, the cost of diapers can easily break your budget.
The Bare Bottoms Diaper Drive was started in 2013 by an amazing Food Bank volunteer who wanted to address a need in the community: diaper costs in food insecure families. As anyone who has ever cared for a baby will tell you, costs can add up quickly.
Year-round, the Food Bank receives donations of new or opened packages of diapers. Last year, thanks to the generosity of Calgarians, we provided 4,141 baby hampers to families with a child 0-12 months old. Baby hampers include formula, baby food and diapers. This May, the Bare Bottom Diaper Drive collected 71,417 diapers! Thank you to the generosity of the Calgary community.
