How You Can Make Tax Time Pay

There may be a myriad of reasons why many Canadians do not submit their income tax forms – from illness to language barriers – but did you know that you may be missing out on certain benefits simply because you have not filed? For low-income households there are government benefits such as the GST credit or child tax benefit you may be eligible for but without a tax return you can’t qualify. Some of these benefits can cumulatively add up, and for families struggling to make ends meet, these dollars can be a blessing. Luckily there are a number of free tax clinics throughout the city that can help you navigate the process. So as the deadline to file looms at the end of this month, make sure to check out one of these resources soon, so you can make tax time pay!
